Eight things we learnt on day 31
Day 31 and the villa was still packed to the roof with Islanders, so much so that we couldn't keep up with who was grafting who or who was apologising to who. It appeared to be a bit confusing for Georgia too, who just couldn't quite remember what Kaz was actually called. So weird for such a short name... Sensing no spark between new girl Ellie and her official partner Sam, Wes decided that it was time to crack on, but every man knows that putting all your eggs in one basket is a risky strategy, so he figured it was worth trying to get Megan back while he was at it. Aided by his boys, we sense that Operation Wes Gets A Ting is about to cause some problems...
1. You can serve your pie and eat it too
Wes may have returned from Casa Amor to find Megan in the arms of new boy Alex, had to listen to them neck on at night and watch them cosy up all day, but he was still ready to forgive and forget... and lap up the compliments.
“I don’t wanna be selfish and have my cake and eat it but I still really like you... I do miss hanging out with you and being silly with you,” she told him, as he melted and told her not to worry about it.
The Megan Effect really knows no limits.
2. You really can wash all your troubles away
Georgia who now? So fresh, so clean.
3. Alex and Grace got REALLY awks
It was textbook flirting tactics from Alex - comment on the weather, talk about your family, ask about hobbies - it should have been a breeze! But all we could feel was an ice cold chill in the air...
4. 20 people in one challenge is a LOT
Charlie and old Ellie, Sam and new Ellie, Dr Alex and Grace, Alex and Megan, old Jack, new Jack… so much going on, yet all we could think about was how much we really fancied an ice cream.
5. Adam admitted being distant AND having feelings for someone in the same day!?
Apparently this villa is actually teaching Adam some things. Not only was he honest with the boys about still having feelings for Zara, he actually went and spoke to Darylle about it so as not to leave her guessing.
And they say you can’t change a man…
6. Never underestimate the power of a cookie
Operation Wes Gets A Ting was GO, but our very own James Bond still needed to somehow get his first target alone. The love gods of the universe were defo shining bright, as moments after sitting down at the firepit, Ellie offered up: “All I want to do is eat. I just want a cookie.”
Cue completely natural excuse to take her to the kitchen for a snack… and a chat. Let the grafting commence.
7. Dr Alex has new career options as a secret agent
Have you ever seen a happier man than Alex as Dr Decoy? What a wingman.
8. Kaz? Or Kez?
Call her what you want Georgia, she’s still got your man.
