9 things we learnt on day 56
What. A. Night.
Our hearts fully melted in the best way possible as it was time to meet the fam...
Day 56 was a rollercoaster of emotions as the Islanders were reunited with their loved ones and the final dumping left Anton and Belle waving a tearful goodbye.
⚠️Time to grab the tissues... Seriously, you're gonna need 'em! ⚠️
Here's everything we learnt...
1. Brushing teeth never looked so good
Fact.
The kimono really adds a special something to this look.
2. There are good texts and bad texts
After getting a drama-filled text the night before telling all the Islanders to nominate a fellow couple to be dumped, Amber told the Beach Hut: "In here you can be at your highest high, and you think that nothing could possibly ruin this, and then a text comes in."
But Curtis got a message that turned it all around! Maura revealed the exciting news: "He's got a family photo. Oh wait now... oh my god, that's my mother!"
*Cue the tears*
3. ...It's Maura!
Maura and Curtis sprinted over to see their parents for the first time since entering the villa. Curtis told the Beach Hut: "It meant so much that I got to see my mum and dad."
His mum gave us all the lols when she struggled to pronounce our Irish firecracker's name. Curtis corrected her, "It's Maura." Don't worry, Debi, we've all been there!
It was a 10 for Curtis as Maura's mum gave her seal of approval, meanwhile, Maura was nervous to meet his family: "I say some random s*** in here, and I'm not sure if parents would like that." But our she really didn't have anything to worry about as they welcomed her with open arms.
Too. Cute.
4. India is officially Soko Family approved...
...And vice-versa as her mum told Ovie: "You're much better looking in real life!" The compliments really were flying all over the place!
It looks like Ovie is the man for India, as her sister revealed: "If she drew her perfect boyfriend, it would literally be you."
They're even planning to meet up again soon: "We will definitely all be getting together on the outside. Big family BBQ, you know it's a thing, baby."
Anyone know how to get an invite to this BBQ?! Asking for a friend.
5. Molly-Mae has competition!
Getting straight to the point, Molly-Mae's mum told her: "I want him!"
Well, wouldn't we all love to have our own Tommy Fury?!
Her mum also had her own VERY exciting news to share...
Drumroll, please...
Whilst being very cryptic, she revealed: "Something's changed about me."
Any guesses? Nope, it's not her eyelashes... the picture doesn't give it away at all!
Molly-Mae finally caught a glimpse of the ring. We're not crying, We're completely fine. No tears in sight. She told the Beach Hut: "My mum got engaged while I was away. She came in with big rock on her finger." Huge congrats to the happy couple!
Someone pass the tissues, plz.
6. The shamrock and the shoe
Greg's mum brought Amber a shamrock necklace all the way from Ireland. Name something sweeter... we'll wait.
But Amber's dad literally made us laugh out loud as he told Greg: "Well, I'll tell you what, we haven't given you anything - so I'll give you my right flip flop!"
We. Can't. Cope.
7. Anton's mum officially passed the razor
What an icon.
With a wee prezzie for Belle, Anton's mum has finally retired her bum shaving duties!
8. Welcome to the fam
Belle's dad is exactly how we hoped he would be and more as he pulled Anton for a one-to-one chat: "We're gonna go for a nice little road trip, me and you..."
A nervous Anton replied: "No listen - I'll look after her, of course I will."
Belle couldn't contain her excitement as she told the Beach Hut: "He's got dad's approval, so I couldn't be more happy." And just like that, Anton was welcomed into the family!
9. Cheers to the final four couples
It's official!
Meet your final four:
- Amber & Greg- India & Ovie - Maura & Curtis- Molly-Mae & Tommy
It was time for a toast, and Amber gave the speech of a lifetime: "Each and every one of us should be proud of ourselves for getting this far."
Hands up if you're excited... 9pm can't come soon enough!
