Love Island

9 things we learnt on day 53

Romance was in the air as our couples went on their final dates...

Day 53 swept in, bringing us many revelations. We discovered that the Islanders don't have each other's numbers yet, you can't trust anyone to help when there's a bug on you and fairytales really do come true.

Switch on the mood lighting, relax, and take a look at everything we learnt...

1. The Islanders don't have each other's phone numbers

Molly-Mae and Tommy were talking about what they'd name each other when they save their contact details on each other's phones.

Tommy was very picky about the name choices. Here are the rejects:

- Tommy- Tommy ❤️- Tom Tom

It's back to the drawing board, guys.

2. Greg would go to any lengths for a kiss with Amber

Just look at how he's sitting!

Find yourself a man who will bend over backwards to give you a lil smooch.

3. Sweat = 😍

Tommy's going to have a gym buddy as Molly-Mae told the girls she's excited to watch him boxing: "I'm literally just gonna go to the gym with Tommy every day just so I can see him train... There's something so unreal about that sweaty body."

Maura got VERY excited with all the sweat chat: "I love sweat... Drip all over me."

But with her frustrations of the last few days Belle gave some advice: "Maura you're gonna upset yourself. Calm down!"

4. You can't count on the Islanders to help when there's a bug around

Seriously, they'll just sit and watch!

We all know the feeling when something buzzes in your ear, sending you into freak out mode. Maura warned Belle: "Oh my god it's on you!"

After running around the kitchen to get away from the bug, Maura told Belle it was a MASSIVE bumblebee. So quite rightly, Belle asked: 'And you just stood there?"

Our Irish firecracker replied: "Do you think I'd come and touch it? It was pulsating on ya." Fair point.

5. India and Belle spied on Anton's work out

Belle loves to watch Anton get his sweat on in the gym, and India was up to participate in the spying as they hid behind a plant... Very covert, guys.

6. Camouflage isn't Anton's strong suit

But who wants to blend in?!

India and Belle went full David Attenborough on us as they narrated Anton's gym sesh! Getting into character, India began: "Anton in his natural habitat..."

And Belle was quick to swoop in: "This creature is actually confined to one area of the villa..."

India continued: "Camouflage isn't his strong point."

*Starts a petition for Belle and India to narrate Anton's life*

7. Greg's hips don't lie

That is all.

8. Don't go near our boxer with a flying cockroach

Curtis tested his friendship with Tommy to the limit as he tried to go near him with a flying cockroach. But our boxer gave him an ultimatum: "I'll fall out with you bro, I swear I'll fall out with ya."

Tbh, If any of our mates tried this on us, we'd be the same!

And just like that, the bug was in the bush.

9. There was a Cinderella story

Our hearts were fully bursting as Ovie and India returned from their date very smitten with one another, and we couldn't be happier for them.

It seems like the date was a slam dunk, our basketball player told the Beach Hut: "The sweetest part about it is it's really just the beginning. It's all really fairytale ending innit? It's like a little Cinderella story, but I got to take Cinderella back with me." Too. Cute.

Everyone truly deserves to have an Ovie in their lives.
