9 things we learnt on day 31

Roll up, roll up... The heartbreak train has officially left the station.

The villa well and truly erupted during the recoupling aftermath, with budding relationships beginning to blossom, whilst others were left completely broken hearted.

*Reaches for the tissues*

On day 31 we realised that Maura is the queen of honesty, there's nothing more important than friendships and Ellie-Belly has STOLEN Tommy's heart. Sorry, Molly-Mae!

Take a look at everything we learnt...

1. Michael did the impossible...

...When he left Amber completely and utterly speechless.

You could hear a pin drop as Amber walked into the villa, head held high to see that Michael had recoupled with Joanna. Awks.

Putting on a brave face, our feisty Geordie did have something to say, “I’m glad it happened to me over anyone else because I’m strong.”

2. Honesty is the best policy

The girls comforted our heartbroken air hostess and there was NO HOLDING BACK.

Maura is an absolute legend, and we can always rely on her to be brutally honest. Our Irish firecracker told Amy the cold, hard truth... that although she'd fallen head over heels in love, Curtis's feelings weren't mutual: “It’s harsh babe, but I’m being serious because he wouldn’t have done that if he did.”

Can Maura be our best friend plz?

3. There's a new bodyguard in the villa

Backing her bezzie Amber until the end, Anna kept a watchful eye during the recoupling aftermath.

What a babe.

Mamber had a tense chat, giving Michael the chance to explain why his head had been turned by Joanna: "I literally wasn't myself the past two weeks because I was biting my tongue... The second I got a bit of space I started being myself again".

Worried that he'd lost friendships with the girls, Amber reassured him, "They don't hate you, they're just upset for me." A little bit of time and space is just what the doctor ordered, these mates will be back on track in no time. Fingers crossed.

4. Ovie's hugs are POWERFUL

After an emotional night, Ovie dribbled right past the court and into our hearts as he gave Amber a big old snuggle.

Hands up if you're a little bit jealous rn.

5. Tommy and Danny are the BEST agony uncles

Seriously. These boys knew EXACTLY what to say when Curtis was feeling down.

Our advice guru has switched to the passenger seat since finding himself in a sticky situation with Amy. Whilst Amy was away, Curtis grafted Jourdan, and EVEN said he'd pick her in the recoupling. A chat with the boys encouraged Curtis to continue being true to himself and always follow his heart. With a helping hand from Tommy, Danny took the wheel, "Don't let yourself get upset, mate."

The Islanders really are setting the friendship bar through the roof.

6. The villa is literally overflowing...

Well, there are 18... yep you read that right, 18 people are sleeping under that roof. So some of our couples have set up camp in the living room, and it's giving us serious throwback sleepover vibes.

So. Many. Islanders.

7. Nothing can part Tommy and Ellie-Belly. NOTHING.

Molly-Mae may be back in the picture, but Tommy's NOT letting go of Ellie-Belly anytime soon.

Watch out... He'll be packing her away in his suitcase if Molly-Mae isn't careful!

8. An old flame might be reigniting

Although Anna recoupled with Ovie, all is not lost between her and Jordan. Anna revealed, "It's hard for me walking past you and stuff... not touching you."

Ooh, it seems like the fire is still simmering between this pair...

9. Things are about to get REAL awks...

After receiving the text that had everybody either laughing or gasping, Amber and Joanna got glam to head out of the villa for a catch-up. Amber didn't hold back, "I mean anything but that. Anything."

Joanna stayed optimistic about the whole situation, "She might surprise me, probably not. But who knows?"

And with that, we'll have to wait and see...
