9 things we learnt on day 22

Hold on... we're still giving Maura a standing ovation for how she dealt with THAT situation. After his apology, Tom's grovelling tasks really did make us giggle, Tommy had a revelation about the gut and Danny's decision sent Yewande packing her suitcase.

A LOT went down on day 22, so here's what we learnt.

1. Maura is one tough cookie, and honesty may not be the boys' strong suit...

Our Irish firecracker let loose on Tom after overhearing him talking to the boys about her. With encouragement from the boys, Tom attempted to bend the truth - but Maura soon set him straight saying, "don't lie to my face".

Listen up boys, Maura is NOT looking for a lad, she wants a gentleman "who's gonna talk about [her] with a bit of respect." We're 100% with her on that one!

2. Molly-Mae's hands can do ANYTHING!

Who's trying to figure out HOW she's doing this?! Also, that manicure could not be more perfect.

We're gonna go and practice before the next drama comes around.

3. Operation grovel is in full swing

After his laddish comments about Maura, Tom's had a LOT of work to do. Starting with waiting on Maura hand and foot! But the path to forgiveness isn't always easy, as Maura says she is "gonna make sure that he doesn't make that mistake again". So he got busy grovelling - bringing her tea and biscuits, brushing her hair and even styling it.

Anyone else REALLY enjoying this?!

4. LOLs are the MOST important thing in a relationship

Some say that love, connection or compatibility are the most important part of a relationship. But not our Amber - she is all about the LOLs, and honestly, we're totally here for it. If you're gonna grow old with someone, you might as well be having a laugh!

5. Watch out Tommy, Anna's coming for your sandwich

It looks like Tommy's iconic combo of untoasted bread, cheese, ketchup and mayo has competition with Anna's unusual number...

6. Yoga is GREAT for digestion

Even though Danny's recoupling dilemma left her place in the villa uncertain, Arabella wasn't lacking confidence as she planned a yoga class for the next morning. But she also had some fun facts to share about its benefits on digestion... excuse us while we get into the downward dog.

7. The gut only has one purpose... and it's not what you think

It seems like digestion is really on our Islanders' minds... or maybe not, as Tommy thinks the gut's only purpose is for making tough decisions. Well... that would probs be much more fun than its actual job.

8. The boys really are romantics at heart...

We're still reaching for the tissues after those incredible recoupling speeches!

Tommy told Molly-Mae she's "truly the girl of [his] dreams", leaving Lucie (and the rest of us) with a bad case of... hayfever. We were belly laughing after Amber not-so-subtly reminded Michael to say she's beautiful. And our hearts fully melted when Jordan said Anna's loyalty to her friends is what he's looking for in a potential girlfriend. YES, HE SAID GIRLFRIEND.

9. Yewande is wise beyond her years

Yewande was sent packing after Danny made his tough decision, but she dealt with it in the most mature way saying, "A heart broken is a heart that was once loved". Pass the pen, we need to write that one down.

It's probably the most profound thing an Islander has EVER said... apart from when Curtis told us to "be the clock". That one's gonna stick with us forever.
