Love Island

8 things we learnt on day 32

DMCs took over the villa as our Islanders had a LOT to get off their chests...

It was a day full of discoveries as a new lizard couple entered the villa, we realised that awkward silences are the absolute worst, and when it comes to planning a break-up, Amy's your gal. Seriously, she knows how to get it done in the most efficient way possible. Take notes ladies and gents.

Have a scroll to find out everything we learnt on day 32...

1. There's NOTHING more awkward than silence

SoOo... afternoon tea got off to a very quiet start as Anna and Joanna sat down for an uncomfortable chat about Michael's recoupling decision.

The awkwardness quickly wore off as they had a very mature conversation. Although Amber was hurt by the situation, she opened up to the other Islanders: "We're never gonna be best friends, but let's not make things awkward." Way to go, girls.

2. Amy is very organised when it comes to break-ups

It's official. Amy was more prepared for her chat with Curtis than we were for our GCSEs.

After all the drama, Amy went straight to Jourdan to find out exactly what went down with Curtis while she was in Casa Amor. Phone in hand, our organised gal made sure she had EVERY single little detail noted down.

Amy really is a perfectionist, telling the girls all about her list: "I've decided to change my questions into statements." This amount of preparation is honestly inspiring.

3. The girls are actually robots..?

We've ALL been there when girl chat gets deep, and the eyes begin to well up... But Anna was quick to halt all convo to make sure Amy didn't ruin her makeup. Because priorities, people!

The other girls jumped in to lighten the mood by doing some scarily accurate robot impressions. Amber started: "Abort mission. Abort mission, Amy overload."

Molly-Mae was quick to put on her best performance: "Amy reject. Reject."

Before we knew it, there were no tears in sight.

4. Love is in the air

Although she worried about laying it on factor 50 thick, Molly-Mae declared, "I genuinely, genuinely could see myself falling in love with you."

Tommy's response LITERALLY gave us goosebumps: "I think I'm already falling." And if you thought it couldn't get more romantic than that, you'd be wrong. Our hearts completely melted when he gave the most incredible speech: "You complete me. Every day I'm in here, every hour... I want to make you feel like you're the only girl in the world." The tears. THE TEARS.

Okay, so we're currently planning their wedding...

  • Location: Love Island villa

  • Best man: Curtis

  • Flower girl: Ellie-Belly (Obvs)

Just off to get Iain to officiate and then bish bash bosh, we're ready to go.

5. Joanna embodies the power suit

Our lady in red is ready to boss the villa.

6. Amber is NOT invisible

Seriously. She's right there!

Since the recoupling, our fiery Geordie feels like she's had no sympathy from Michael. But don't you worry, her bezzie was ready to stick up for her once again. Anna told the Beach Hut, "Don't treat her like she's a ghost, like she's invisible. The girl has feelings, you have someone's feelings in your hands. How do people act like this? I don't understand."

We all need a pal like Anna.

7. Love Island who? We're all about Lizard Island.

Curtis and Tommy's DMC was interrupted by two lizards who seem to have coupled up... Tommy wanted to give them some privacy, "They're making children let's leave them to it."

Have we found our 2019 winners?!

8. Amy is NOT a placeholder

It was finally time for Amy and Curtis to have the conversation we were ALL waiting for.

Using her handy notes, she let it all out: "I feel like I was your back-up plan... We're supposed to be exclusive. We're supposed to be this fabled half-boyfriend/girlfriend... For me, absence made the heart grow fonder. For you, it was out of sight, out of mind." Aww, we're really feeling for her right now.

Curtis ripped off the bandaid and decided it was time to break up: "I've meant everything I've said, but I can't promise you that this won't happen again." His honesty is very admirable. But is this truly the end for Curmy?
