Love Island

8 things we learnt on day 30

Emotions flew high as Casa Amor closed its doors, and the girls made their return to the villa...

On the day our Islanders were finally reunited, we realised that Tommy and Ellie-Belly have officially STOLEN our hearts. Seriously, there is nothing cuter than these two - and this is one love triangle Molly-Mae can probably get on board with. We also discovered that basketball players don't always have an advantage at beer pong, and tissues are an absolute requirement for recouplings.

Here's everything we learnt on day 30...

1. Party tricks aren't as easy as they sound

Nabila learnt the hard way as her worm turned into a faceplant! We've all been there.

A* for effort though.

2. Ovie saves his slam dunks for the basketball court

If you thought a professional basketball player would have the upper hand in beer pong, you'd be wrong!

Our sporty fella told the Beach Hut, "Because I'm a basketball player, everyone expected me to make everything. Didn't quite work out that way." Drink up, Ovie...

But the forfeit was a snog with Anna. Losing never looked so appealing...

3. Tiny head or big hand?

*Sees if own head fits in hand*

4. The first L-bomb has been dropped

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that really was true for Amy, who came to the revelation that she LOVES Curtis as she prepared to return from Casa Amor. Yep, you read that right. The first declaration of love has happened!

Amy gushed to Molly-Mae, "He's my half-boyfriend and my best friend rolled into one."

Our hearts were entirely in our mouths with the thought of what was happening back at the main villa...

5. There's NOTHING cuter than a boxer hugging a teddy bear

Name a more iconic duo. We'll wait.

6. Curmy had a bittersweet recoupling

Give us a minute. We're STILL recovering from this heart-wrenching moment...

Our half-boyfriend and girlfriend may have stayed loyal during the recoupling, but it came at a price for Curmy, as Curtis decided that honesty is the best policy. "Things were going fantastic, until a couple of days ago. It made me realise I've been lying to myself, and most of all that I had been lying to Amy."

*Heartbeat quickens*

Blissfully unaware, lovestruck Amy waltzed into the villa smiling from ear to ear as she saw her man standing alone, and told Caroline, "The girls are sick of me because I've been that girl on the girls' holiday that's like, 'I really miss him, I just want to see him.'"

These two are deffo in need of a LONG chat.

7. Tissues have become a NECESSITY

We could literally hear our heartbeat in our ears as Tommy's recoupling speech brought tears to our eyes...

Awaiting Molly-Mae's return, Tommy's heart was in his throat. And he even brought Ellie-Belly with him as he stood by the firepit. We. Can't. Deal.

Tommy declared, "I haven't felt this nervous, even in my boxing fights." Wow, that really is a HIGH bar.

Our loyal gent's head didn't even twitch in the days Molly-Mae was away, and little did he know, his heart remained with her too.

Wiping away her tears, Maura told the happy couple: "You've destroyed us all!" The nation is with you on that one. In fact, we're pretty sure Ellie-Belly even shed a tear as her parents were reunited. Too cute.

8. Amber IS a survivor

We made you wait until all the other couples had reunited (sorry), but FINALLY it was time for Michael to take centre stage.

While Amber was in Casa Amor staying loyal, Joanna caught Michael's eye, turned his head and got his heart RACING. The girls' jaws hit the floor when our firefighter decided to go with his heart and recouple.

*Enters Amber*

Our feisty gal was speechless as she put on a brave face, and we were left with the cliffhanger of a lifetime...
