8 things we learnt from last night's show
From Callum and Shaughna’s cuddling schedule to the girls rallying around Jess to support her after Eve’s exit - it was a non-stop 24-hours in the villa! Here’s what we learnt on day 9...
1. Sophie shuts down drama
When it came to the aftermath of the recoupling and Connagh’s decision to choose Sophie, a few of the Islanders had quite a lot to say on the matter - and Sophie wasn’t pleased about it.
Stepping in to defend Connagh as he received a bit of ‘advice’ from Mike, Sophie said: “I feel like when people have too many opinions it just gets a bit too much…”
We love that Sophie shut the drama down instead of driving it.
2. Leanne is shy when it comes to PDA
During the cutest post-recoupling chat, Mike told Leanne how the villa wouldn’t be the same without her and that everyone loves her - especially him.
The biggest smile spread across Leanne’s face and when the time came for a little smooch, her shyness resurfaced and straight after the kiss she hid under the covers shouting “I’m shy!”
3. Shaughna and Callum have a cuddling schedule
To celebrate their reunion after being apart from each other for over a week, Shaughna and Callum are following a schedule for their first night sharing a bed together.
Chatting to the girls as she took her make-up off, Shaughna explained: “I think we’ve scheduled eight minutes worth of cuddling - two minutes for every night that we’ve been apart.”
Is that just not one of the cutest things you’ve ever heard?
4. Paige was Finn’s best date ever
While chatting on the day beds getting to know each other a little better, Paige and Finn took a moment to review their first date and how they thought it really went.
Explaining that he felt pretty comfortable around Paige from the off-set, Finn said: “Let’s just say the nerves soon went.”
But that wasn’t enough of a compliment for Paige, as she pushed him that one step further and got him to admit that their date was actually his ‘best date ever.’
5. Sophie didn’t know Welsh was a language
Day one in her couple with a Welshman and Sophie is already learning so much - like the fact Welsh people speak Welsh. Who’d have thought it?
Bonding on the beanbags, she couldn’t believe it when Connagh told her that Wales has its own language.
Without hiding her shock (bless her), she said: “That’s so mad! I didn’t know like Wales had a whole other language.”
6. Mike can admit when he’s wrong
Mike owning up to stepping over the line with Connagh has only made us love him more!
Chatting to Sophie and Shaugna as they shared their concerns over what we down the night before, Mike was so quick to see their point of view and understand why his actions might have upset them.
Reflecting in the Beach Hut, he got brownie points when he said: “100% a good man can admit when he’s in the wrong.”
7. Finley isn’t great at drawing
During the couples challenge, Finley’s attempt at drawing a pair of eyes was truly something special.
Does anyone else think they look more like boobs?
8. Callum is scared of pigeons
Also on the list of things we learnt during the game was the fact Callum isn’t a fan of pigeons!
Explaining his phobia, he said: “They just freak me out! Any time I see a pigeon, I’m just off. Gone. Not a fan of them.”
Who’d have thought it?
