'The Samaritans saved my life'
I felt that somebody was there for me.
This month the Samaritans launched their Talk To Us campaign, raising awareness about their 'round the clock' service. Last year the charity responded to 5 million calls for help, the highest number for five years.
Joyce Gibbs reached out to the Samaritans after falling into a deep depression and having suicidal thoughts. She says the phone call saved her life and now she's a volunteer herself. We speak to her and her husband Brian.
