Mel Giedroyc talks life after Bake Off
From baking to boy bands, Mel Giedroyc joined Lorraine in the studio to talk about life after the Great British Bake Off, her friendship with Paul Hollywood and hosting brand new talent show, Let It Shine.
The presenter and comedienne quit the popular baking show along with co-host Sue Perkins and judge Mary Berry after it was sold to Channel 4 last year.
However, Paul Hollywood decided to move to the new production sparking a backlash from fans who saw the jump as a betrayal.
But Mel dispelled rumours of a rift between her and the former judge, insisting there's no bad feeling between the pair.
"Listen, I love the guy, genuinely,'' she told Lorraine. ''He's a pal and he's a friend. I don't want any kind of hard feelings or bad vibes.
''We had seven years together and they were seven really, really fun and good years, so all good."
Now Mel has teamed up with Gary Barlow to find the next UK boy band. Starting this Saturday, Let It Shine goes in search of five talented male singers to form a band to take part in a new Take That musical called The Band.
Let it Shine airs at 7pm on Saturday on BBC1.
