How to make the perfect frozen yogurt

Sally Fingers crossed for a warm and sunny summer this year! If, like me, you love the thought of a cold, dripping ice-cream, then you will love these healthier alternatives!

I make my own Fro Yo’s using good quality, plain 0% fat Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt is made from whole milk, cream and cultures! It goes through a process that keeps the creaminess but gets rid of the calories and high fat content, so you are left with a delicious product that is packed with a high concentration of all-natural protein and calcium.

I want to show you how to jazz your yogurts up to include plenty of fruit and the odd sprinkle of glamour!

The basis of each recipe is 1 x 500g tub 0% fat Greek yogurt. You can then add to this any of the following combinations. Once mixed you can pop into a suitable freezer container and use as required, or pop into a wide nozzle freezer bag and half-freeze before swirl pumping out!

Strawberry Ingredients:1 x 500g tub 0% fat Greek yogurt140g fresh strawberries1 tsp icing sugar

*Wash and blitz the strawberries to a pulp and stir into the yogurt, freeze and serve

Lemon Lavender Ingredients:1 x 500g tub 0% fat Greek yogurtJuice and zest of 1 lemon2 tbsp runny honey or agave nectar1 tbsp fresh lavender sprigs

*Heat the honey and lavender in a small saucepan over a medium heat, until you can smell the lavenders aroma. Pour through a sieve and allow to cool completely before adding to the lemon juice and zest and yogurt. Freeze and serve
