Andrea McLean gets emotional talking about her heartbreaking hysterectomy

ANDREA MCLEAN'S EMOTIONAL RETURN TO THE SHOW AFTER HER HYSTERECTOMY

After six weeks off, Andrea was back on the show and revealed the reality of having a hysterectomy.

Andrea, who suffered from endometriosis, talked candidly about the operation and recovery - as well as the emotional impact of having the surgery.

Andrea, 47, explained she and her partner Nick had cried as they realised they could no longer have children together.

'I'm an incredibly level sort of person, Nick and I met later in life, we both have our own children and hadn't mentioned having kids together because we feel blessed with what we've got,' she explained.

'I was sitting with my throw over me and was thinking of how lucky I was to have met him, when this wave came over me: we'll never have children together. I said, "If we had children, what do you think they'd be like?" and he was like, "What the hell?".

'I said, "Do you think you'd have a son? Do you think he would have had blue eyes?" He welled up, then I did. So we had a little moment, then it was all good.'
