Weight wars! Nadia Sawalha: 'I went to Overeaters Anonymous - it's harder to lose weight once you have your menopause'
NADIA DROPS A DRESS SIZE!
Nadia Sawalha revealed her slimmed down figure today and announced she's dropped a dress size in the past few months. But it's not been easy for her.
'It is harder once you have your menopause to lose weight,' she said. 'I always thought that was an excuse. It's a war.'
'But hitting 50 and putting on weight, it has been so much harder to lose. I've had to up my exercise. I'm really good on my food, I fast for 16 hours of days and then eat for eight. Not the whole eight!
'And I do see it as a bit of a war I'm going to have to keep fighting for the rest of my life.'
'I went to Overeaters Anonymous, a self-help group where people talk to each other about issues around food,' Nadia added. 'A lot of people that put on weight eat emotionally. So we talk about swallowing your feelings down.'
'You have to be careful to not get fat in the first place. Once you've put on a good amount of weight, all your life you are vulnerable to putting it back on again.'
