The Loose Women return to talk about taking care of your mental health in lockdown
The Loose Women returned to our TV screens to encourage viewers to Lighten The Load and openly discuss mental health as we all adjust to the 'new normal'.
Andrea, Nadia and Brenda sat on the socially distanced panel in the show's new home (borrowed from Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway), while Coleen and her scene-stealing new kittens joined them from 200 miles away via video link.
The women gave the audience a brief tour of their new cavernous surroundings before having an important discussion about taking care of ourselves and our mental health during such a stressful time, reaching out to viewers to remind them they are not alone.
Our award-winning Lighten The Load campaign encourages people to speak to others about what they're going through, or listen to those who are going through a difficult time.
You can find more information about the campaign and the mental health supports available here.
"Whatever feelings you're having in lockdown, you should have them," Nadia said. She also spoke about the anxiety caused by the pandemic and showed us how she and her husband, Mark, have found a way to recreate the experience of visiting one of their daughters' favourite restaurants.
Andrea revealed how she and her family have found great comfort in routine during lockdown and shared her experience of setting up a makeshift home office.
Brenda explained how she's avoiding stress and anxiety by switching off from social media, while Coleen spoke about how she was really enjoying spending more quality time with her children.
