Take the Loose Women 'Face Your Smear' pledge

Join Loose Women’s campaign and pledge to Face Your Smear and never miss a smear test. #FaceYourSmear

  • The number of women regularly having smear tests has slipped to the lowest level since records began in 1995.

  • Cervical Screening Awareness Week revealed that five million women are late for testing.

  • Over 1 in 4 women in the UK are currently overdue their smear test.

To help women detect their risk of developing cervical cancer as early as possible, Loose Women are launching our #FACEYOURSMEAR campaign this February, by asking you to take our pledge to never miss your smear.

Backed by the cervical cancer charity Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, our FACE YOUR SMEAR campaign will get us talking about the reasons why we don't attend, and explain why it's so important to never miss your smear.

Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust told us:

“There are lots of reasons that people find smear tests scary or difficult but campaigns like this help raise awareness of the importance of the test, as well as highlighting the support available to the people who need it most. It will help increase attendance and quite literally could save lives.”
