Sir Patrick Stewart and Sunny Ozell

Award-winning British star of stage and screen, Sir Patrick Stewart, joined Loose Women to talk about having a go at comedy in his news US show Blunt Talk.

Blunt Talk is a 10-episode half-hour series, set in Los Angeles, and follows Patrick’s character Walter Blunt, a British import intent on conquering the world of American cable news.

Patrick said of Blunt Talk, "It's quite a controversial show dealing with controversial subjects. The rest of the story is about his rather complicated and chaotic life."

His partner in crime and wife of two years, Sunny Ozell, joined Patrick and spoke about married life and her new debut album Take It With Me.

Talking about their love story, Patrick said, "It might not be a romantic comedy, it's more of a walking dead movie actually."

Patrick spoke of their first meeting and told how he made the first move. He said, "It's the only time in my life I've ever done that and it was all a business arrangement. She wanted to see our production of Macbeth... so I said, 'well, there'll be seats there, here's my number give me a call.' Was there an ulterior motive? I'll leave it for you to decide."

Sunny Ozell, Take It With Me is out now on CD and vinyl.
