Sarah Cawood: 'My C-section scar nearly killed me! I was 24 hours from death.'

SARAH CAWOOD'S C-SECTION SCAR NEARLY KILLED HER

She's famous for her time presenting TV shows like Living & Kicking, Top Of The Pops and The Girlie Show.

And mum-of-two, Sarah Cawood joined the show to talk about how having a C-section nearly killed her a year later.

Sarah, who has son Hunter, four, and daughter Autumn, two, with husband Andy, was rushed to hospital earlier this year with her C-section scar twisted around her bowel , turned gangrenous and nearly killed her.

'I was 24 hours from death', Sarah revealed, explaining that her internal organs got stuck to the scar, cutting off the blood supply and developing into septicemia.

Keen to reassure new mums that the incident was an extremely 'rare' case, Sarah said, 'I don't want to terrify women who have had a C-section'.

'I was frightened for my life', she added. 'But I didn't know I nearly died until after the surgery. I fell blessed and I see my scar as a victory sign.'
