Saira Khan hits back at cruel troll after Loose Women Body Stories photo: 'Me in a bikini is not evil'

SAIRA KHAN HITS BACK AND TROLL WHO CALLED HER 'EVIL' FOR TAKING PART IN BODY STORIES

After stripping off for our Body Stories campaign, Saira appeared on the show to discuss some criticism she'd some under from a Muslim man.

He had posted a social media message telling Saira: 'As a Muslim, I'm disgraced to see this. May Allah forgive us... We need protection from the evil that's driving us to make what's wrong look right. Sorry to say anything to hurt you, but it's my duty as a Muslim.'

Saira hit back: 'As a Muslim, I'm very happy it's helped women of all colour and ages. And representing evil? Me in a bikini is not evil, me killing innocent people in the name of my religion is evil. He is a backward, mysogonistic, idiotic person.'

She went on to add: 'I'm tired of people having a go at my mum for the things I decide to do. Enough is enough. My mum was very nervous because she knew what the after-effects would be.'

Saira explained she's happy with her body and feeling confident.'At long last, I'm really happy. Happy that I'm healthy, happy to have a child,' she said.

'As a woman, forget religion and colour, I got my body back. I'm not perfect but I wanted to be part of this and religion doesn't stop me.'

Saira added, 'Muslims who keep throwing scriptures at you; I'd say it's never too late to love yourself and love your body. I don't preach. I was brought up to be tolerant, open-minded, and to show love. That's what Muslim means to me.'
