Exclusive: Rebekah Vardy says the stress of severe online trolling left her 'in hospital three times'

Rebekah Vardy told the Loose Women that she had to be hospitalised due to the impact severe online trolling had on her health.

Speaking to the women about comments she'd received about her husband, Jamie Vardy, and baby daughter, Olivia, Rebekah said she'd suffered severe anxiety attacks and couldn't leave the house.

"I had severe anxiety attacks. I ended up in hospital three times. I had kidney stones. I felt I couldn't go out," she said.

"I think people don’t realise when they are saying stuff like that," she added, while speaking about the comments, which were made both before and after Coleen Rooney alleged Rebekah's Instagram account had been used to leak stories about her to the press. Rebekah has denied the accusation.

She explained that she's determined to highlight how serious online trolling is and draw attention to the damage it can cause.

"I think the more we highlight the fact that this is happening and this is really serious the more the chance we've got of doing something good about it," she said.

She told the women that she's now focussing on the future and the positive things in life, including her 6-month-old daughter, Olivia, who she introduced to the panel.

"It's a new year, it's 2020, time to focus on exciting things that are happening, new baby and babies need healthy mums," she said.
