Maggie Oliver joins Saira Khan for Loose Women's Never Too Late To Tell campaign
MAGGIE OLIVER JOINS LOOSE WOMEN'S NEVER TOO LATE TO TELL CAMPAIGN
Launched in December 2016, Loose Women’s inspirational Never Too Late To Tell campaign continues to encourage victims of historical childhood sexual abuse to consider speaking out and to start the healing process.
Now, we are moving into the next phase of our campaign, as shocking figures show that 420 men are arrested each month over child sexual exploitation in England and Wales, and the rate continues to grow.
Maggie Oliver, who was instrumental in the Rotherham sex abuse investigation, joined us to explain how she is getting involved in our investigation into methods of grooming, signs of grooming, and what parents can do. She'll be working alongside Rotherham victim Sammy Woodhouse, who waved her right to anonymity in a bid to encourage others to speak out, and our very own Saira.
Speaking on the show, Maggie said: ‘I am so excited. This is what it’s all about and I’m just so excited to be working with Saira. Together, we can say things that are difficult to say.’
Let’s smash the stigma and educate parents to better protect their kids.
