Katie Piper

Katie is an activist, presenter, author and one of Britain’s most inspirational TV personalities. She came to the nation’s attention in 2008 after suffering horrific injuries following an acid attack. Katie’s experience was documented in 2009 in the Channel 4 documentary ‘Katie: My Beautiful Face’.

After sharing her story, she became a household name and an advocate for others with burns and disfigurement injuries, setting up her own foundation ‘The Katie Piper Foundation’. Katie has gone on to help turn around the lives of thousands of people. 

Katie was a contestant on 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2018 and more recently, she joined the presenting team on the long-running BBC show ‘Songs of Praise’. Katie also hosts her own podcast called ‘Extraordinary People’. 

She joined the Loose Women panel in 2021. That same year she was awarded an OBE.
