Inspirational Pride of Britain winner Katie Walker on helping other victims of domestic violence
KATIE WALKER TALKS ABOUT WINNING A PRIDE OF BRITAIN AWARD
Domestic violence survivor Katie joined Coleen, Nadia, Anne and Janet to talk about leaving an abusive relationship and seeing her ex-partner jailed for assault after he attacked her.
Inspirational Katie applied for a Prince's Trust grant to set up a beauty business and now treats women who are going through similar experiences through to a pampering session in her salon and having someone to talk to.
Katie bravely shared photographs of her beaten face on attack anniversary to empower others and was given The Young Achiever award by Loose Woman Penny Lancaster and husband Sir Rod Stewart. Katie is now an advocate for women recovering from the trauma of domestic violence.
