Ian Huntley's daughter Sammy Bryan: 'I want to prove that I'm nothing like him and never will be'

In an emotional interview, Ian Huntley's former girlfriend Katie Bryan and her mother Jacqui Edwards joined Andrea, Jane, Coleen and Stacey to talk about how the murderer impacted on their lives - and how Katie's daughter Sammy discovered the killer was her biological dad.

Jacqui, who tried frantically to save Katie from the abusive relationship, became upset talking about how she met and introduced the couple.

'He seemed a nice boy. We got on really well,' Jacqui said of Huntley. 'After a while he said he didn’t have much family and would be in the flat all the time on his own. So I got him round for Sunday dinner. We had meals together as friends and we got on OK.'

'He seemed a really nice chap, little did we know,' Jacqui added. 'One day he asked to take Katie into town to do a bit of shopping. She never came home.'

Katie was groomed by Ian Huntley when she was just 15, before being subjected to abuse, beatings and repeated rapes over a 15 month period.

She became pregnant when she was 16 years old and eventually escaped from Huntley - and chose not to tell her daughter Sammy who her biological father was.

Jacqui and Katie were joined by Sammy who discovered her father was the notorious murderer while researching a school project when she was just 14.

Sammy told us, 'I want to prove that I'm nothing like him and never will be.'
