Gemma Collins: 'I'm getting my eggs frozen'

I am getting older now. Do I continue to put my dreams off and wait for a man? Or say, do you know what I’m going to put my eggs on freeze?

Gemma Collins is going to desperate lengths to try and fulfil her dream of having a baby.

The TOWIE star - who was forced to join us via Skype after being unable to make the panel due to traffic - told us she made the decision as she doesn't want to miss out on becoming a mother.

In the upcoming series of TOWIE, fans will see Gemma reveal to friends she had a one night stand with a fellow cast member – thought to be James ‘Arg’ Argent. So desperate is Gemma to become a mother, she admitted she purposefully didn't use contraception.

It is someone that I've had a relationship with before on TOWIE. It wouldn't have been awkward because I do know him.

'From that experience it’s led me to go onto this really exciting phase in my life where I make the decision to go and get my eggs frozen,' she said.

'I’m 36 and at the age that I am now where I only have a 40 per cent chance of my eggs being able to get impregnated by someone’s semen.

Gemma continued: 'At my stage in life, I have my career, I have two businesses, but I feel so unfulfilled.

'I would love to be in love. All my friends are married with children and I just feel so unfulfilled. Don't be fooled by the glitz and the glamour.'

I wish I could have a day without drama. Everyone came to my birthday and 24 hours later I was in hospital with an oxygen mask.

Gemma also discussed her recent health scare in Tenerife where she was hospitalised for five days with a sinus infection.

She said: 'It's really made me look at my health, lock, stock and smoking barrels, no more messing about.

'This year is all about getting fit, healthy and freezing my eggs!'
