Ex-EastEnders actor Alex Ferns on playing evil Trevor Morgan: 'I had death threats. And my wife didn't like him!'

ALEX FERNS ON PLAYING EVIL TREVOR MORGAN IN EASTENDERS!

He was one of the most hated TV villains in soap history and Alex opened up about playing Trevor Morgan on EastEnders.

'My wife didn’t like him at all, she watched it, she was an EastEnders fan. I don’t blame her,' Alex said.

'I said I grew up just outside Glasgow so rough and tumble was part of everyday life. I grew up with violence.'

'I had death threats, BBC security came to me and said you can’t come out the front gate anymore as there’s a man who wants to kill you. They used to take me out the back and I’d say bring him to me I'll sort him out!'

Alex - who is currently doing a dark comedy called Rabbits 'about sado-masochistic and what goes on between closed doors between man and women - also revealed he wouldn't rule out a return to Walford.

'I would never say never to going back to EastEnders. I would only go back if Kacey Ainsworth (Little Mo) went back,' he said.

But there's another show Alex would love to do - Celebrity Big Brother!

'I’d love to go on CBB. I love it,' Alex revealed. 'Love watching it, all the fights and craziness. I think id be OK for the first hour then steam would start.'
