Emotional Johnny Vegas opens up about the death of his father: 'I don’t accept his death. I'm angry and feel guilty'

JOHNNY VEGAS GETS EMOTIONAL TALKING ABOUT HIS DAD'S RECENT DEATH

We're used to seeing Johnny cracking jokes but he joined us today for a more serious reason.

In an emotional chat, Johnny, who was supporting Macmillan's coffee morning, opened up about dealing with grief after his dad Laurence died in March following a short battle with bladder cancer .

'We were told it was going to be quite soon,' Johnny explained. 'We all went into a tailspin and wanted to care for him at home.'

'I don’t think I’ve mourned yet. I keep saying to friends, "I haven’t had the cry".

'If I’m really honest, I think I’m angry with him for going as quickly as he did. I don’t accept his death, I feel guilty that I don’t think about him on a daily basis, but that’s only because I don’t want to accept he’s gone.'
