Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden on his surprise wedding with Charley Webb and more baby plans: 'I’d quite like a girl'

EMMERDALE'S MATTHEW WOLFENDEN TALKS MARRIAGE AND MORE BABIES WITH WIFE CHARLEY WEBB

There's always drama in The Dales, but Emmerdale actors Matthew and Charley Webb caused a scene of their own when they sprang a surprise wedding on their friends and family recently.

The couple - parents to Buster, eight, and Bowie, three - invited guests to the wedding under the premise that they were celebrating Charley’s 30th birthday.

‘We told everyone to get glammed up, let everyone have a couple of drinks and then I took the microphone and said, “We kind of lied to you all – this is our wedding",' Matthew revealed. ‘The best men and bridesmaids didn’t know until the day, we announced them there. Charley goes on her hen do very soon, and my best men are planning mine.’

Matthew, who plays David Metcalfe in the soap and while discussed his complicated cheating plot in recent episodes, also told the panel he's hoping for a 'whole football team' of children with Charley.

‘I’d quite like a girl, but we’ve got two boys so we’ll probably get another a boy!’ he laughed.
