Video: Geraint Thomas jokes he's Chris Froome after Stage 16 crash into telegraph pole
Team Sky's own Chuck Norris, aka Geraint Thomas, was knocked off the road on the tricky descent into Gap after being nudged accidentally on a tight corner by Warren Barguil. Thomas almost collided head-on with a telegraph pole, but managed to avoid serious injury.
Remarkably, G got back up quickly and rode to the finish to preserve his sixth place in GC, before speaking to our reporter Matt Rendell about the scary incident. They breed 'em tough in Wales…
Later on, Thomas added: "Everyone knows it's a dodgy descent, I just got taken out. One hundred per cent it was a mistake.
"We were just coming into a tight right, Barguil just came straight into me. Nothing you can do there."
