Successful cyclists rated as more attractive, say scientists
Research published in the Royal Society journal Biology Letters claims to prove that successful professional cyclists are perceived as better-looking than struggling riders.
Women surveyed were asked to rate facial attractiveness among riders at the 2012 Tour de France.
The top 10% of performers were rated on average as 25% more attractive than their rivals. Faster = hotter, then.
The best-looking riders in the 2012 Tour (not including Team Sky, as they wore sunglasses in their profile photos), according to the Royal Society's findings:
Amael Moinard
Yann Huguet
Maxime Monfort
Andriy Grivko
Michael Schar
Martin Velits
Christophe Riblon
Adam Hansen
Rui Alberto Costa
