Froome: 'I want to use the Tour as a stepping stone to get back to my former level'

On the eve of his 9th appearance on the start line, Daniel Friebe spoke to four-time Tour winner Chris Froome about his preparation and plans coming into the 2021 race.

The Brit reflected on his Tour de France career, his ambitions for this year's race, and the challenges of the next three weeks.

Despite his previous wins, Froome is expected to take a road captain role within his Israel Start-Up Nation team, with Michael Woods their designated GC rider.
