Chris Froome survived another brutally tough day as leader of Le Tour, but his faithful Sky team-mate Geraint Thomas struggled after his earlier exertions and slipped down from fourth to 15th in GC. Froome admitted he was sad to see 'G' lose so much time and with it any chance of a podium finish in Paris.
