Kashif Nadim Chaudry - Artist, and Jonathan Cheung & Henry Wood - Robotics Engineers
For November’s ITV idents we bring together Kashif Nadim Chaudry, an artist, collaborating with Jonathan Cheung and Henry Wood, two Robotics Engineers.
Kashif comes from a family heritage in tailoring which in his own words, ‘has instilled a sense of craftsmanship and I have come to value the many processes of making, especially repetitive and labour intensive work. There is something in the stillness of these ways of working which allows me to think about the world and my place in it.’
Growing up with a tailor also meant growing up with scraps of fabric and lots of them. This is where Kashif’s love for materials and especially texture, comes from. ‘I believe that all matter can conceivably be considered a material and therefore belongs in an artist’s toolbox.’
Henry Wood and Jonathan Cheung possess deep technical expertise and experience of delivering complex engineering development projects and, between them, they have more than 30 years of combined experience in robotics and engineering.
