An ITV Creates Collaboration by Walter & Zoniel | Installation Artists & Genevieve Bent | Science Teacher

Walter & Zoniel  created the artwork ‘Spectra-  A Virtual Meeting of Minds’ in collaboration with Genevieve Bent.

The artwork is representative of the artists’ large scale interactive public installation work, which engages the public to partake.

Each colour that makes up the ITV logo represents an individual person’s answer to a question about the arts, science and television. The erupting artwork is an abstract representation of a debate. Showing everyone’s answers, how they can be affected by other opinions, be more or less energetic or alter altogether.

In a celebration of collaboration and inclusivity, the questions were put to fellow artists, teachers, pupils, family and all the crew working on the piece. Their answers are key to the creation of the artwork.

Multidisciplinary in their practice, Walter & Zoniel work within the mediums of sculpture, photography, film and performance. Much of their work is centered on utilising scientific processes and pioneering the modern development of early photographic techniques. Their work focuses on visually charming and enticing the viewer into thought and momentary escapism, whilst dealing predominantly with the human condition, evoking a relationship and questioning between all the elements involved. They also produce interactive and socially engaging installations / performances.
