“We all need to support each other and help with many different aspects of life. The world is changing so fast, at home and work, with so many factors to consider and time is more pressured than ever. We're expected to be superhuman, but many of us mere mortals need conversation and help on how to navigate through it all.”
Our 3 main objectives:
1. Establish network as a safe space for all colleagues to share stories and experiences
2. To influence and educate appropriate policy across ITV
3. Deliver an engaging programme of events to prompt meaningful discussion within ITV
Launched in 2017, ITV Balance supports, educates and empowers all ITV colleagues around the issues we experience in balancing our career and personal life. We aim to encapsulate the widest possible definition of the family unit, looking at the work challenges that affect parents, grandparents and carers alike. From flexible working, through COVID and now into Smart Working the ITV Balance Network has been able to offer a temperature check on how colleagues are feeling and allow colleagues voices on opportunities and concerns to be heard at the highest level. We have over 800 Network members from across all parts of ITV plc.

Young Minds – (child anxiety during COVID) with Advisors from Young Minds parent helpline
Working Carers - (with ITV Able) – resilience for Carers with Bright Horizons, Work & Family Solutions support network Working Parents – (supporting families – anxiety and homeschooling) with Dr Paul Litchfield (CBE FRCP FFOM) and Rachel Vecht (Educating Matters)
