As six times former Snooker World Champion, Steve Davis likes to win, but even he isn’t sure whether he'll hack it in the Jungle.

“Like many viewers, I would like to know, when faced with a plate of animal innards or a cockroach filled space helmet, whether I could handle it.

“And now as it is getting closer I’m feeling more excited, but the trepidation Richter scale is rising fast!”

As for how he would feel if he walked away with another title, Steve says: “I'm not really interested in winning, unless it is snooker or poker…”

Given he's so laid back, could anything break his cool? “I despise self-centred people," he says. “Am I argumentative? Not unless the other person is wrong," he adds.

With this champion campmate around, it looks like things could get very interesting indeed.
