Kezia Dugdale
Occupation: Politician
Age: 36
Phobias: I've had to deal with rats and snakes, but never creepy crawlies. I'm scared of them and birds.
Biggest misconception you want to dispel in the Jungle: I think people see me as good-natured, but I can be steely too. I'm very determined.
Role in the Camp: Keeping the peace.
What you will miss the most: Caffeine and food.
Dream Campmate: Scarlett Moffatt.
Scottish Labour MP Kezia is well aware accepting a stint in the Jungle is a controversial decision, but she’s hoping to make the most of her time in the Outback.
“People will be angry because they'll say I should be doing my day job and I’m going to be away. I understand that anger," she admits.
“But I can’t help but think that it is an amazing opportunity to talk to millions of people about the Labour Party and its values. I’ll be back for the Budget in December.”
Kezia reckons Jeremy Corbyn might enjoy watching her on the show: “I think he will have a good laugh at my expense. I think he will be more than happy to see me do it!”
Is Parliament a good training ground for life in Jungle? “I am surrounded by people who don’t agree all the time,” Kezia reflects.
And despite her brief break from Parliamentary duties, she says there's no chance of her quitting politics anytime soon.
“It's my life… it’s what I love doing."
