The X Factor's former creative director Brian Friedman is used to helping other hopefuls prep for their time in front of the judges, but how will he fare when it’s his turn in the hot seat? “It’s going to be fun to have a chance to not be in charge. It will be nice to sit back. It’s going to be like high school all over again!” Hang on, he had to eat spiders in class?
Does this mean the American will be a super chilled Campmate? “I have been known to be brutally honest – not mean but honest. Some people may not be easy with this. But I am not a person who seeks conflict and I do believe you can talk through something.”
So, what about those Bushtucker challenges? “Oh I am extremely competitive. I tell my students ‘life is a competition’ and so I want to win. It would be devastating to be the first person to go.”
Now he knows how those hopefuls on The X Factor feel! But will he be hot footing it home early doors when it’s his turn to face the music? Only time will tell…
