I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

All about: Malique Thompson-Dwyer

As one of the youngest contestants in the Camp, Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer is looking forward to playing plenty of pranks on his fellow Celebrities.

“I do like playing pranks and I do play them at work,” he explains. “So I’m looking forward to having a laugh. I don’t think anyone will want to eat my cooking. I will poison them!”

Malique’s also relishing to chance to show viewers the real him, rather than his Hollyoaks character.

“Everything is starting to seem real now and I can’t wait,” he says. “When they asked me if I would like to go on I’m A Celebrity, it did take me by surprise. I am a huge fan of the programme and I didn’t expect at the beginning of this year to be asked! It’s going to be brilliant.”

He’s also not ruling out the possibility of finding love around the campfire, as he confesses, “I am single and I’m not looking for it, but if it happens, it happens.”

The gutsy soap actor says he can’t wait to throw himself into all the Trials, but admits eating testicles is the one challenge he’s dreading. “Everyone has phobias and I am terrified of some of the things on the programme,” he says. “For me eating testicles is going to be the worst. I’m quite picky with my food so that’s going to be hard!”

Malique’s family are behind him all the way. They’re all so made up for me,” he says. “This has been such a dream come true year, it really has.”
