6 things we learnt from Day 5
Day 5 in the Jungle saw the arrival of Noel Edmonds (aka the Emperor), the Camp's first successful Dingo Dollar Challenge and the start of tensions rising for Malique. Here's what we learnt...
1) Rita hates the dunny
If there’s one thing Rita is struggling to adapt to in Jungle life, it’s the dunny.
The Camper held in her morning wee as long as she could but eventually, nature called and she had to face the music. “It pen and inks like you would not believe. I wrap my bandana around my face, it’s the only way that I can bare to go in there” she said.
To make matters worse, Rita then caught Malique red-handed leaving the seat up.
2) Fleur is the Camp fitness motivator
Harry woke up feeling a little stiff and ahead of the group challenge, he turned to Fleur for assistance in a quick stretch.
Fleur said: “Poor Harry, bless him. His muscles have been a little tight so he asked me to stretch him out and seeing as I feel like I’m fulfilling the role of like fitness motivator, I gave him a little stretch.”
A few hip rotations and arm stretches later and Harry was ready to get off the bench and back into play.
3) Dec’s was thrilled that his nipples trended
It’s not every day that you can say your nipples trended on Twitter but for Dec that very thing happened last night.
After Holly’s comment about Dec’s shirt buttons looking a little ‘nippily’, it didn’t take long for #decsnips to be trending and he LOVED it.
“They’ve got a hashtag!? He exclaimed as Holly told him the big news.
4) The Emperor has some fancy new digs
Emperor Noel received a very special welcome into Camp as he arrived to a throne, a proper bed and a clean towel - extremely luxurious items when you’re living in the Jungle.
After spotting his Emperor set-up, he turned to his gladiator Campmates and said in a teasing tone: “Oh you shouldn’t have gone to all this trouble guys, I’m really welling up now. It’s really kind of you.”
The gladiators didn’t look quite as pleased when they found out that the Roman Palace was a private residence for the Emperor and his advisor only…
5) Malique doesn’t like being told what to do
One of the Emperor’s first tasks in Camp was to assign duties to his gladiators. While Noel and his Personal Advisor Harry took to the Roman Palace, unhappy rumblings started to surface around from the other Campmates.
Malique, in particular, was not pleased with the idea that Noel and Harry were deciding their fate. He said: “I hate being bossed around, mate. I hate it.”
Better get used to it, Malique.
6) Harry's hidden acting talents
After winning the Dingo Dollar Challenge and correctly answering Kiosk Kev’s question, Harry and Noel decided to play an evil trick on Camp by pretending to come back empty-handed.
Harry walked into Camp flustered and frustrated telling of the heartache of losing, only to turn around moments later and return with the prize of cheese and grapes.
Malique did a backflip, everyone screamed and Emily described Harry as the best actor that she’s ever met in her life.
