The Kiosk Keith guide to home improvement
Your probably saw Lisa and Wayne sprucing up Kiosk Keith’s new home on last night’s show. It’s a beaut of a bachelor pad, isn’t it? Eat your heart out Kirsty and Phil.
To help you create ‘Keith chic’ in your own pad, we’ve put together a little home improvement guide.
1. Location is everything
Never go downhill when selecting a new location. Literally. With flooding risk, up is is the only way to go. Live on level ground? Build your own hill. Then put a moat round it. A moat filled with critters.
2. Hang pictures aplenty
A clever and cost-effective trick to hide unsightly marks is to hang pictures on each wall. And if these pictures are of your home interior, it creates the illusion of space.
3. Declutter
Junk is as unnecessary as chit chat. Keep only the essentials. And if space is limited, create a neat stacking system.
4. The key is in the detail
If you’re selling a home, you’re not just selling bricks and mortar (or wood and nails) - you’re selling a lifestyle. Which means you can make an exception to the decluttering rule with true object du jours.
5. Don’t overlook the dunny.
Literally. But don’t forget that this is a room where people will be spending a lot of time so it’s worth adding some nice touches.
