In Pictures: The Bushtucker Trials so far!
What. A. Week.Celeb shocks, critter chaos, confined spaces, dizzying heights, deep pan 'delicacies' and a giant Scarena to welcome two sporting legends! That luxury lifestyle is feeling far, far away for our Campmates - and the Bushtucker Trials came in hotter than a freshly baked Quattro For-gag-io pizza. So much has gone down and *almost* come back up... here are the Bushtucker Trials that have tested the Celebs since they arrived in the Jungle.
Day 1 - Temple of Doom
After landing in the Outback via an adrenalin-fuelled skydive, there was no let up for Nick, Marvin and Jamie Lynn, who were immediately tasked with our first Bushtucker Trial of the series.
Teamwork made the dream work and the trio bagged all the stars in the Temple of Doom, despite fighting a giant fake spider - and a whole load of very real green ants.
Day 2 - Jungle Pizzeria
The eating Trial came through on day 2 and the Jungle Pizzeria served up a whole host of scary slices for a horrified Nella and Nigel.
At least Ant and Dec enjoyed themselves, hey?
On the menu was ‘Boar Seasons’ (pig anus, pig brain and pig testicles), a ‘Veggie Scarian' (vomit fruit) and the Chicago Style Deep Fish, which proved too much for even the toughest of tastebuds.
We definitely won't be adding salted and fermented herring to our takeaway order anytime soon.
After an incredible effort, Nella and Nigel earned themselves an impressive nine out of 10 stars for Camp.
Day 3 - No Time To Cry
You voted for Nella to face her second Trial on the bounce, and this time she tackled a scary underground lair in search of stars.
Full of lasers, critters and a few too many dark confined spaces, Nella uttered the infamous phrase 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!', taking three stars back to Camp.
Day 4 - Climb Of Cruelty
After an emotional few days feeling homesick, your votes put Jamie Lynn in the spotlight to take on her second Trial.
The Climb Of Cruelty was just that - a giant scaffold soaring more than 100ft above the Jungle treetops. Eep!
But Jamie Lynn proved to be made of strong stuff, and a steely focus saw her take on the mightiest leap of courage into the air, securing a full house of stars for her fellow Campmates.
Day 5 - Locker Shocker and Don’t Drop The Ball
It was a double whammy of Trial torture as our Celebs faced their first group Trial. Locker Shocker saw the Celebs each race to unlock their stars as fast as possible - while being covered in feathers, gunge and critters, of course.
The stakes were high as the fastest five - Jamie Lynn, Sam, Danielle, Nella and Fred - got to stay at the main Camp, while the remainder - Nigel, Marvin, Nick, Josie and Grace - were banished to the basics of Snake Rock. But not before meeting their new Campmates, Tony and Frankie.
The newest arrivals quickly got a very literal taste of life in Camp, going head-to-head to move pig testicles with their mouths across an assault course.
Welcome to the Jungle, boys.
A victorious Frankie joined the Home team, making Tony the Away team Coach.
Day 6 - Touchdown Of Terror
It was back to the Scarena for Touchdown of Terror, as two Celebs from each of the divided Camps tackled the Trial.
Nella and Sam from the Home team squared up against Grace and Nigel from the Away team on the pitch. Despite taking the lead, the critters in Nella's helmet got a bit too close and she forfeited the win, giving the Away team a much needed evening feed.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! returns tonight at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX and STV.
