I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

J is for Jungle Strops

A lack of sleep, gruelling challenges, inedible food, exposed to the elements with only insects and fellow grouchy celebrities for company. It’s no wonder our Campmates have shorter fuses than usual. So we’ve rounded up some of the most iconic hissy fits ever to shake the Jungle. Take cover…

Who would have thought such a tiny little insect could cause so much strife? Prepare for Beetle Gate as 2015's Campmates bickered over whether or not a beetle should have been thrown on the campfire. At the centre of it all was Lady C, who called Tony Hadley a Dumbo, a chippy oik, a bully, a liar and the mouth of diarrhea. All in one clip! Classic Lady C.

It was Politician vs Playboy Bunny when a two-way tantrum saw Edwina Currie lock horns with Kendra Wilkinson. Edwina’s merciless shooting down of Kendra’s opinions led to quite the tirade, including the frankly excellent insult “you heartless ass politician.” Watch the drama unfold.

Ah, Helen Flanagan. No shortage of drama around this soapstar, but her complete refusal to even begin a Bushtucker Trial was pure gold. Not even Ant and Dec’s encouragement – which quickly spiralled into desperate pleas – could get Helen on the hamster wheel.

A Camp-wide hissy fit rocked series 2, when all celebrities stormed into the Bush Telegraph to complain they had received insufficient rations. The charge was led by Anthony Worrall Thompson, who, as a chef, claimed to know all about portion size, and designer Linda Barker, who was just really, really hungry.

Matthew Wright makes a living trying to generate a debate every morning. But he got more than he bargained for when his constant poking of Alfonso Ribiero resulted in a full-on explosion. Alas, “ENOUGH! ENOUGH!” hasn’t quite overtaken the Carlton Dance as Alfonso’s greatest moment, but it came pretty close.

Through a cascade of mascara tears, Gemma Collins steadfastly refused to travel by helicopter to the jungle – a mode of transport you’d imagine a celebrity would be highly experienced in. Her chopper-strop led to her being taken into camp by land, but she ended up in jungle jail for her epic hissy fit.
