I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

All About Russell Watson

He might be scared of ALMOST EVERYTHING, but classical singer Russell Watson is super excited to be entering the Castle as a late entry after spending almost the entire year not being able to perform on stage.

“I’m excited about going on this show, especially as I've spent most of the year not doing what I normally would do!" he tells us, adding: "I’m looking forward to making some new friends on I’m a Celebrity...”

Russell also reckons he’ll bring the laughs (and the music) to Camp, saying: “I definitely think I will be the clown in the Camp. And I’ll sing too as I have to keep my voice operating and working.” A true pro!

Whilst Russell has been lucky enough to perform at plenty of beautiful historical venues around the world over the years, it will be the first time he has lived in a castle.

"I've performed at a few castles but I have never lived in one,” he laughs. “And I'm definitely one for my creature comforts too. I do like a coffee in the morning!"

And although he'll miss his family loads, he's managed to keep his appearance a secret from his two children! He's determined to give the experience his all, even though he thinks it'll be an emotional ride. "Doing this is as far away from my comfort zone as you can possibly get. I'm an emotional wreck at the best of times - there is no question of me not crying."

So has Russell got his eye on the Castle Crown? "If I were to describe myself, I would say I’m quite driven. I would love to win! I’m terrible at losing!”
