All about: Harry Redknapp
Former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham manager Harry Redknapp reckons going into the Jungle will be far easier than being the boss of a losing football team – although he admits he’s never actually watched the programme!
When asked how he thinks his sporting colleagues will react to the news that he’s signed up to I’m A Celebrity, Harry says: “I think they will be surprised. Some of the players I’ve managed when I go in the coffin Trial will hope it doesn’t open up! I’m sure they will watch it. Hopefully they will laugh!”
Harry says his family also thinks he is ‘mad’ to be taking part. “My wife thinks I am mad,” he chuckles. “She has seen the show and she’s told me I should watch it before I do it. My son, Mark is like ‘are you sure you want to do this, Dad?!’ But it will be good fun.”
Harry promises to regale his Campmates with a few stories around the fire, but admits being apart from his wife, Sandra, is going to be tough. “That’s the biggest problem I’ve got,” he reveals. “We do everything together.”
And does he see himself becoming our new King of the Jungle? “I don’t know what you have to do to win! I want to have fun and see what happens.”
