8 things we learnt from Day 17
Crying, critters, C-grades and even a cockroach in an ear! Day 17 not only brought Medic Bob, a lovely fishing trip and one serious scone debate, it also brought ALL the emotions! Here's everything we learnt along the way (mainly involving the importance of always having a packet of tissues at hand)
1. Big boys DO cry
Jordan's departure hit the Campmates hard. So many tears. Too little tissues. There were Larry tears...
Wayne tears...
Even Adam tears...
As Joel would say, it was all very #emosh.
2. The scon/scone debate lives on!
Scon like gone, or scone like bone? It's the age old debate, which sadly got us no closer to finding a definitive answer.
3. Getting a C in GCSE Food Tech doesn't mean you can be trusted with food
Adam Thomas, 28, Food Tech pro. Can't be trusted to cut up some scones, but alpaca meat? He's your guy.
4. Always turn a negative into positive!
Train delays, rain in July, Larry and Martin's lack of friendship, there's just some thing in life you cannot change. Thankfully Larry saw the positive side of having to spend time with Martin on a Dingo Dollar challenge and lapped up the fishing and nice break from Camp.
5. Letters from home will ALWAYS make Campmates cry
...And everyone at home too. If you weren't crying, who are you and why do you have a heart of stone?!
6. The Wicked Windmill really was that wicked
So an Olympian and a comedian AREN'T invincible. Dizzy rotations, thousands of critters and tumbling stars, not to mention some tricky questions. Last night's Trial saw Sam and Joel win the lowest number of stars for Camp.
7. You can always count on Medic Bob
With his comforting smile and all that critter knowledge, he could flush a cockroach out of our ear any day!
8. Could Martin be the next Carol Vorderman?
Today's countdown conundrum says... no.
