6 things we learnt from Day 2

It's only Day Two in the Jungle and already we have learnt so much about the Campmates. Who knew that Harry Redknapp doesn't have a sense of smell? Bring on the dunny duties.

1) Harry enjoys a cold shower

After waking from his first night in the Jungle, Harry Redknapp confessed his love of a cold shower in and outside of Camp.

“Even at home, I enjoy a cold shower. Always before I go to bed I have a cold shower. It makes you feel good.”

After a few yelps under the water, a clean and refreshed Harry emerged with a spring in his step.

Upon reflection of his experience, Harry said, “It’s something I would do a few times a day because it makes me feel better.” It sounds like we should get ready to see a lot of Harry in the shower.

2) Emily took part in the most snake-filled task in Jungle history

Not only did Emily take on the first Bushtucker Trial of the series, but she also faced the most amount of snakes that we’ve ever had in an I’m A Celeb challenge.

After hanging out with over 50 snakes in the gruelling Viper Pit Trial, Emily slithered away with an amazing 9/10 stars for her new Campmates.

Before Emily could celebrate though there was one thing on her mind - the snake that gave her a bit of trouble in the Trial. “Is he alright?” she asked Dec and Holly.

3) Harry can’t smell

It’s no secret that the worse chore in the Jungle is emptying the dunny. Well, that is, at least, unless you’re Harry Redknapp.

As John Barrowman begun reading the instructions to Croc Creek regarding the workings of the dunny and how to change it, Harry revealed that he’s more than happy to change it. Why? Because he has no sense of smell!

“I can’t smell anything. So clearing the dunny out - easiest job in the world for me.”

After experiencing the first dunny clear out, Harry even offered to do it for the rest of the time he’s in the Jungle.“I tell you what, I’m happy to do it because I’m no use with the cooking. That’ll be my job. Harry the s*** shoveler.”

4) Nick likes a morning workout

It’s only Day two in the Jungle and Nick Knowles has already squeezed in a workout.

After waking from his first sleep in Croc Creek with Sair, John and Harry, he told his Campmates, “I actually did some sit-ups before I got out of my bed this morning.”

Imagine waking up and being that motivated to work out? Fair play, Nick.

5) Anne really is the ultimate quizmaster

To distract herself from the whirlwind start of Jungle life, last night Anne put on a mini quiz for Snake Rock.

The opening round of questions on the capital cities of the world proved hugely popular with her fellow Campers and the Yellow Team were soon shouting out answers.

Fleur said, “She’s a lot happier now. You can tell she’s in her element when she’s quizzing people and she loves it!”

James managed to catch Anne out and ask her a question that she didn’t know the answer to though - the name of The Vamps first album. Awkward…

6) Wallaby wings got a mixed review

By winning nine stars in The Viper Pit, Emily won the Campmates the first proper meal of the series which featured wallaby wings.

The dish became a huge talking point for Croc Creek and Snake Rock. John Barrowman broke out into song, Harry hopped like a kangaroo and James had to distinguish flames as a pan caught on fire.

Rita’s review on the wallaby wings? “It’s really quite nice. It’s like lamb and steak.”
