I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

6 things we learnt from Day 17

The Campmates are getting closer than ever and where tight bonds grow, we get to learn more and more...

1) Nick now does water runs in his swimwear

We know that Jungle life isn’t always glamorous, but Nick’s outfit choice for the water run with Emily yesterday morning took things to a whole other level.

He said: “I’ve got no dry clothes left other than the shirt and the shorts that I’m wearing. Every time you do the water, you get wet. So the only thing I could do was go down in my swimwear.”

Emily found the situation completely hilarious (and also a bit awkward) and we think everyone will agree that the image of them filling the water together is something you can never unsee.

2) Harry hates rat

During last night’s Wicked Warehouse Bushtucker Trial, poor Harry had to face one of his biggest fears - rats.

When it was revealed that rats were some of the Jungle critters involved in the Trial, Harry said: “Oh my god, that’s the one thing all week I’ve been saying I’m scared of!”

A brave Emily picked up not one, but two rats and gently placed them in the box with a terrified Harry who was equally as brave.

Harry overcame his fear like a true champ and within just moments of the rats entering the box, he was chatting away to them.

3) Emily has a bit of a thing for Jamie Redknapp

It sounds like Harry and Emily might go from Campmates to in-laws when they leave the Jungle!

While washing up pots with Harry and Rita, Emily (not so subtly) asked whether Harry’s son (the one and only Jamie Redknapp) is single at the moment. When Harry divulged that he was, Emily said: “Tell him that when I’ve got fake tan on I look sublime.”

Rita can almost hear the church bells ringing and Harry said he has no doubt that Emily would make a great daughter-in-law.

4) James doesn’t give the best directions

It seems like Harry isn’t the only driver in Camp that the Celeb’s should be cautious of…

To win yesterday’s Dingo Dollar Challenge, James and Fleur had to drive their best and pass the Jungle driving test… with a blindfolded driver.

James’s directions weren’t the most detailed and on more than a few occasions resulted in Fleur driving straight into a haystack or stack of bins. Fleur said: “Oh my god, James’s directions were impossible. They were like riddles.”

5) John Barrowman peed in Prince Charles’s garden

During a discussion about meeting Royals, John told the story of the time he did a private performance for Prince Charles and Camilla at their house in the country.

Of course, this wouldn’t be a John Barrowman story unless it had a bit of a wild twist though would it? John then went on to disclose the details of the night, which may have involved a pee on Price Charles’s lawn.

To our disbelief, the story got even better as John then revealed: “On the way out I took two champagne flutes but then two days later, a box arrived at the house in Cardiff from his office.”

It turns out John’s activities had been clocked and Prince Charles had sent him a few more glasses to complete his new (stolen) set. Awkward…

6) Anne loves a good sing too

Step aside John and Fleur, there’s a new musical act in town! During chatters around the Campfire last night, Anne burst out in song when a track by Benny Hill was mentioned.

Anne seemed to know all of the words to Ernie (The Fastest Milkman in the West) and her fellow Campmates loved it her little show.

Fleur said: “I think we might see her performing across the country soon…”
