5 times the Campmates were friendship goals on Day 9!
They’ve been through 9 days of terrifying Trials, tough tensions, battled the Jungle elements and even been torn apart into two Camps, but the Celebs are feeling stronger for it!
We may be feeling the winter cold in the UK, but these moments of friendship cuteness left us feeling all warm and fuzzy on Day 9.
1. Fred’s secret plot for Tony’s birthday
Fred had a busy morning on a secret mission, making plans to surprise Tony with a little celebration for his upcoming birthday.
Marvin proposed to sing Tony’s favourite JLS song 'Love You More', and it wasn’t long before Fred had rounded up some willing backing dancers among the rest of the Campmates.
'Fred's very excited about it, and so he should be,' Marvin told the Bush Telegraph, adding: 'Tony's a great guy.'
2. The 'power of love' melts Tony’s tough exterior
Sam made sure to check in on his fellow Celebs’ energy levels in the morning, and revealed to Tony that he himself was feeling 4 out of 5 g’days on the g’day scale.
‘I didn’t sleep very well last night but Tony, I feel quite ready,’ he said, with some enthusiastic air punches for added effect.
‘I’ve no idea what powers you. I have no idea,' he replied.
‘The power of love Tony,’ Sam mused, before asking: Can I sit on your knee?’
The Camp giggled as Sam took a seat and said, ‘It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of!’
‘You’ve got 5 children now mate,’ laughed Marvin.
3. Josie and Danielle’s Trial triumph was a win for friendship too
Danielle and Josie took on the ‘Down The Tubes’ Trial, which involved unlocking stars covered in critters while suspended high above the Jungle floor, before being catapulted into the air themselves.
Naturally.
Processing the task ahead, Danielle said: ‘I’m glad I’m here with my Josie.’
Josie said: ‘I’m glad I’m here with my Tinkerbell.’
Up in the air, Danielle remained the voice of reason as Josie was forced to simultaenously face her fear of heights AND spiders.
‘I promise it’s OK! Josie, I love you, it’s OK. Remember they’re just little bugs,’ Danielle soothed, adding: ‘Don’t think about that. Just keep doing what you’re doing, you’re doing really well.’
12 minutes later the pair landed back down to earth with an impressive 10 out of 12 stars for Camp, and a few lingering critters in their clothes.
Hugging each other tight, Danielle said: ‘I’m so proud of you!’
Josie said: ‘We’ll have a bond forever now!’ Later telling the Bush Telegraph: ‘Danielle is a golden nugget in life. You’ve got to look after your golden nuggets in life. I’m so happy that Danielle was there with me.’

4. Jamie Lynn is feeling the friendship feels
It seems that a stint in the Jungle is giving Jamie Lynn a lot more than she expected.
‘I really feel like I’ve made friends for life,’ she told the Bush Telegraph.
‘I’m a pretty closed-off person and these people, I’ve let in fully. Being here has opened up a side of me that… maybe I always had but I just forgot about.'
She had spoken candidly to her Campmates about her daughter’s terrifying near-death experience, describing her recovery from the accident as a ‘miracle’.
5. Marvin is the Sam-tidote
Sam was BUZZING when he found out he’d been voted as the first Camp Leader by the public.
After being crowned ‘Sheriff of Camp’, it was only right for the Sheriff to appoint himself a deputy.
Choosing Marvin, he said: ‘We’re going to smash it. The reason I picked Marvin is because he’s the one, when I’m being stupid, to be like, ‘Mate, you probably shouldn’t do that.’
Every Ant needs their Dec, right?
