I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

5 things we learnt from day 6

Last night we learnt who the newest members of the Inner Circle are and that Emperor Noel really doesn't like toilet talk at the table.

1) Harry doesn’t like shrews

Noel and Harry may be sleeping in luxury compared to the other Campers, but that doesn’t mean they’re safe from Jungle critters.

When entering the Emperor’s Palace for bed last night, Noel spotted a shrew hanging onto his royal robe and it quickly became clear that he was not welcome for the night.

While peeking at the pest, Harry said to the Emperor: “What is it? I don’t like the look of that Noel. I ain’t going to bed with him in here.”

A poor Nick was summoned over to save the day and rescued both the shrew and the residence of the Palace.

2) The Empire has expanded

After beating John and Emily in the Bushtucker Trial, Rita and Malique are now part of the Emperor’s Inner Circle.

Noel placed laurel wreaths upon their heads and said, “Awesome. Awesome! Welcome to the Inner Circle. You were awesome.”

As part of the Inner Circle, Rita and Malique are now exempt from all Camp duties and get to enjoy a proper dinner.

3) Fleur enjoys a dad joke

Dinner at Snake Rock for the Inner Circle released the cheesy comedian inside Fleur. While gutting the redfish for dinner, she delivered one of the most dad-like jokes we’ve had so far this series.

When deep in fish guts, she laughed, “Guys, do you know what? Something’s really fishy around here.”

What followed was a roar of laughter from Fleur and a few pity giggles from the rest of the Inner Circle. You’ve got to love a dad joke.

4) Poo talk makes Noel uncomfortable

After finishing off dinner at Snake Rock, conversation in the Inner Circle quickly turned onto the topic of poo as Malique announced that he felt one coming. Charming.

Emperor Noel did not take well to the subject matter and quickly tried to shut it down, especially when Rita joined in.

He said: “I was brought up to believe that ladies don’t go to the loo. They certainly don’t do number twos.”

5) The Campmates receiving letters from home will always make us cry

After winning the Terror-cotta Challenge, Nick, James and Anne won the Camp eight care packages from home.

Watching the Campmates receive the treats and read their letters from home gave us all of the feels. Especially when John’s husband Scott told of how their dogs had been searching for him at home.

After reading a letter from her sister, Emily said: “Honestly, these tears are happy tears.” Someone pass us a tissue!
