Should a woman take her husband's surname?
Dame Joan Collins has been married five times but has insisted on never changing her surname.
And now the actress has reportedly berated her daughter Tara for taking her husband's surname, describing it as 'subservient'.
Whilst the tradition of taking the man's name is important for many, others view it as losing a part of your identity.
Debating the subject was psychotherapist Lucy Beresford, who is all for changing your surname, and journalist Lucy Mangan, who says she would never take her husband's name and believes it's for 'romantic drips'.
